Who we are
The Uliverse (uliverse.ai and the Cortex Mobile apps) is operated by Empower Tribe HQ FZE, a Music Tribe entity in Dubai (UAE). The product is foundation-owned: no shareholders, no IPO, no exit. We can’t sell your conversations because there’s no parent company that benefits from it.
Who can use it
Today the Uliverse is internal to Music Tribe / Empower Tribe employees and named guardians. Access is gated by your work Microsoft account via Entra ID single sign-on. If you don’t have a
@musictribe.comor affiliated work address, you won’t be able to sign in.What we collect
- Your work email + display name from Microsoft SSO. We need this to know who you are across sessions.
- Your conversations with the AI(messages you send and the AI’s replies). Stored on our servers in Dubai so you can resume chats later.
- Workspaces and memoriesyou create. Same reason — persistence across sessions.
- Files and images you attach. Stored in our object storage so the AI can read them.
- Operational logs (request timestamps, error traces). Used to diagnose problems and improve quality.
- Microphone audioonly when you tap the mic button. Transcribed to text and discarded; we don’t keep the audio.
What we don't collect
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA, etc.). We don’t run ads.
- Cross-site tracking pixels. The app talks to our own infra and to Microsoft for sign-in — that’s it.
- Location data. The app doesn’t request it.
- Contacts, calendar, or photos beyond what you actively share.
Where it lives
- Conversations, workspaces, memories, and attachments are stored on Aliyun infrastructure in Dubai (me-east-1). We do not transfer this data outside Dubai for operational use.
- Backups are mirrored to our own Mac infrastructure as a sovereignty guarantee. The mirror is encrypted in transit.
- Inference (the AI thinking step) runs on Aliyun GPU servers in Dubai and, for some non-user-facing workloads, on our own hardware. Some advanced reasoning queries are sent to Anthropic’s API (US-hosted) — we log whenever this happens.
How we use it
Your conversations are used to answer your prompts and to provide you with persistent memory and history across sessions. We do not train AI models on your conversations. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes — we don’t have any.
Your controls
- Delete a chat: any conversation can be deleted from the history rail. The server-side files are removed within 30 minutes (next backup cycle).
- Manage memories: visit Settings › Memory to view, edit, or delete any memory the AI has saved about you.
- Delete your account: write to [email protected] and we’ll remove all of your data within 30 days. We don’t make this self-serve yet because the user base is small and we want a human review step to handle edge cases (e.g., workspace ownership transfers).
Cookies + storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. The mobile apps store an OAuth token in the iOS Keychain or Android Encrypted Preferences. No third-party analytics cookies.
Children
The Uliverse isn’t directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, write to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, the “last updated” date at the top changes too. We keep the full history in git so anyone can diff prior versions. Material changes will surface as an in-app notice the next time you sign in.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app or web product at any time: Settings → Profile → Delete account. You’ll be asked to type your email to confirm. The deletion wipes your conversations, memory entries, API keys, and UI preferences immediately. Audit logs are retained for 90 days for security review only, then expire automatically. Your Microsoft account itself lives in your work tenant and is managed by IT.
